TEETH!
Teeth should be brushed using specially designed toothbrushes and toothpaste. It is a good idea to get your puppy used to this from a young age as it is certainly helpful later on if the pup is accustomed to having their mouth and teeth examined.
Pup will need veterinary check ups to make sure puppy teeth have fallen out.. Sometimes Iggies don’t lose all their baby teeth.
Specially designed chews are available to help remove and prevent the build up of plaque and tartar that can cause gum disease and the loss of teeth as time progresses.
Toothpaste for pets often comes replete with a specially designed brush, which usually fits over your finger
We also also offer raw bones and raw chicken wing and necks periodically to assist with teeth cleaning. Be aware that cooked bones can potentially fracture teeth or cause intestinal blockages, tears and constipation.
These dogs do need a lot of dental care though as they are very much prone to dental problems. Tiny teeth need cleaning every week.
DO NOT BE ALARMED If your puppy suddenly develops flying ears through their teething weeks. Around 12 weeks ALL puppies have strange ears, this should settle down within a few weeks. Some puppies get very offended if you laugh at them ..... But they do look very clown like at times!
